The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) offers fellowships for early career researchers, who would like to pursue their research in a new country. The research projects should be of ground-breaking nature and related to the life sciences. Applicants with a background in other fields than biology are encouraged to apply.
Funding and eligibility
HFSP funds postdoctoral fellowships for 3 years. Fellows are granted a living, a research and a travel allowance.
Researchers currently living outside of Norway are eligible to apply with a host at UiO. The applicant can start working with the host after 1 April 2023 but they cannot have done research together before the application. Researchers based in Norway can also apply for fellowships abroad with an option to return to Norway for the third year of the fellowship.
Two step application process
The application process will take place in two stages. Deadline for letters of intent 11 May 2023. Deadline for full proposals: 28 September 2023.
