Childhood Cancer Association funding for Cancer Research

The Childhood Cancer Association is an active promoter of research on childhood cancer in Norway. Since 2017, the Association has distributed almost 90 million in research funds.

This year, the Childhood Cancer Association supports pediatric oncology research projects that have a high degree of relevance for childhood cancer and have as their main goal to benefit Norwegian childhood cancer patients.

There are several financial support schemes aimed at the professional communities including:

  • Support for clinical project positions
  • Support for research projects

The research may include biology, epidemiology, registry studies, diagnostics, treatment, nursing, and psychosocial research as well as preclinical phase 1 and phase 2 studies. In addition, the Childhood Cancer Association supports professional development and participation in professional seminars.
