Innovation projects to improve public health and welfare services

The Research Council of Norway has announced calls for innovation projects for the public sector.

Link to the call - see below

The RCN has pre-announced calls within two funding instruments targeting innovations to improve public health and welfare services.

The project is to be executed through effective collaboration between the Project Owner (public sector body), R&D groups and other relevant stakeholders. For both of these calls, UiO cannot be the project owner (main applicant), but researchers and research groups can be contracted to supply a research and innovation service to the public body entity.

"Youth exclusion" is a cross-cutting topic and prioritized area. RCN will not fund project proposals that focus on the development and/or testing of new, improved treatment, diagnostics, and therapies.

Innovation Project for the Public Sector

The project duration is 2 - 4 years. Grant size between NOK 3-7 million.

Pre-commercial Procurement

Pre-commercial procurement is a funding mechanism where the Public body has a need to develop solutions that are currently not available. Research institutions and industries are then approached to develop such solutions.

The project duration is 2 - 4 years. Grant size between NOK 5 - 10 million.

How to Apply

Refer to the RCN web page for more information on the calls.
