Innovative Health Initiative calls published

IHI calls 6 and 7 include topics related to heart disease, clinical validation of biomarkers, real-world data usage for healthcare decision-making and health care system resilience.

The deadline for call 6 short proposals is 16 April. The deadline for call 7 is 22 May.

Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the European life science industries. IHI is dedicated to advancing health research and innovation and core goals are to translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society.

IHI calls 6 and 7 have now been published. The deadline for call 6 for short proposals is 16 April. The deadline for call 7 is 22 May.

IHI call 6 (two-stage)

  • Support healthcare system resilience through a focus on persistency in the treatment of chronic diseases
  • Development of practical guidance and recommendations for using real world data/real world evidence in healthcare decision-making

IHI call 7 (single-stage)

  • Improving clinical management of heart disease from early detection to treatment
  • User-centric technologies and optimised hospital workflows for a sustainable healthcare workforce
  • Clinical validation of biomarkers for diagnosis, monitoring disease progression and treatment response

IHI projects are large collaborative efforts that must include industrial partners and co-funding from the industry. Prospective applicants are encouraged to consult the IHI web pages for additional information.
