Interdisciplinary project within Pandemics and One-Health Research

The Centre for Pandemics and One-Health Research at UiO welcomes proposals that aim to resolve key gaps and challenges in pandemic and one-health research.

With support from UiO: Life Science, Centre for Pandemics and One-Health Research invites faculty members from all faculties and departments at UiO to submit project proposals. Submissions must align with the Research Themes provided in the call.

Funding

The grant size is up to NOK 1.200.000. Funding is primarily for buyout (Frikjøp) researcher time, 3 x 30% positions, but also to generally support a multidisciplinary project. The budget should include a detailed breakdown of costs, ensuring practicality and justification.

It is expected that the Co-PIs include at least 2 postdocs or PhDs in the project

The project duration is one year, from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024, with a possibility for a 2-year extension. Details on funding provisions will be provided to the selected project(s).

Eligibility

Faculty members from all faculties and departments at UiO may submit project proposals. Proposals should be a collaborative effort involving 2-3 CoPIs from a minimum of 2 Faculties at UiO.

External (national or international) collaborators are encouraged, but not required.

How to apply

Proposals should be submitted as a single pdf via email to p1h@sustainit.uio.no.

Proposals should be no more than 5 pages, 12-point Times New Roman font (10-pt font for Table and Fig captions), single spacing, 2 cm margins.

CVs of PIs from each faculty can be up to two pages. Letters of confirmation should be signed by the department head of each PI.
