National Researcher Schools

The Norwegian Research Council has pre-announced a call to strengthen the interaction between academia and other social actors through research training.

National researcher schools shall raise the quality and relevance of Norwegian doctoral education through renewal and quality development, professional training of high quality, and national and international professional networks. The goal is for the candidates to receive a coordinated education of good quality that qualifies for research and other work that requires good scientific insight and competence.

Eligibility

Universities with the right to award a doctorate can apply. Partners can be universities and colleges, foreign universities institutes, private companies and organizations, state and/or municipal sector.

Funding

The Grant amount is NOK 16 million for a period of 8 years. Eligible costs include networking, training, curricular development, and management.

The grant does not fund Ph.D. positions or personnel costs for educational personnel at the collaborating institutions.
