The research project

The research project must be cancer-relevant and uniquely suited to be carried out within the Nordic countries, and the effect of collaboration should be synergistic.

Funding is restricted to research that is in line with the NCUs research strategy (i.e., register-based epidemiological studies, descriptive epidemiology, comparative clinical epidemiological studies, clinical trials).

Eligibility

The applying researchers and collaborators involved in the project must be working in at least three, and preferably several different Nordic countries.

Funding available

Each NCU research grant is provided for one year and can be renewed twice with a new, yearly application. Annual grant sizes in the last years were mostly between 50.000 - 100.000 Euros. The grant does not cover overheads and some other expenses.

Further information

Additional information on the call is available on the Nordic Cancer Union website, including the guidelines for NCU research grant applicants.
