About the call

NORM is a national health register with a secretariat at the University Hospital of Northern Norway. However, project support does not require that data from the NORM register is used. Applications for research funds will be processed by the Faculty Council in NORM.

NORM has prioritized the following research areas:

  1. map resistance to antimicrobial agents in microbes
  2. promote knowledge about the causes of resistance development in microbes
  3. promote the quality of preventive measures against the development and spread of resistance

The professional council will particularly stimulate collaboration across specialties and professional environments and for research in clinical departments and in general practice. The professional council will also prioritize research into the use of antibiotics and preventive measures against resistance, as well as research projects in smaller professional environments in different parts of the country.

Funding

Support for individual projects will normally be limited to no more than NOK 50 000.
