Thematic priority call
The call encompasses several thematic areas. Applicants must direct their application to one of these and choose a topic in the application form. For each thematic area, RCN announces a given amount of funding and specifies priorities for selecting the projects to be funded.
Some selected calls within specified thematic areas include:
Democracy and global development
- Research on societal security, democracy, governance and public administration
- Research on poverty, inequality and development
- Global health
Welfare and Education
- Research on competence for working life
- Research that sheds light on social and cultural consequences of artificial intelligence on related technologies
Eligibility
Only approved Norwegian research organisations may apply. See here for the list of approved Norwegian research organisations.
Consult the calls under each thematic area for specific eligibility conditions that apply for each call.
Funding:
NOK 4–12 million in funding per project depending on the thematic area. For some of the topics, the maximum amount of funding you can apply for may be lower than NOK 12 million.
