The purpose
The purpose of this call for tenders is to provide funding for the production and publication of Norwegian textbooks for which there is a professional need at bachelor's and/or master's degree level, but for which there is not sufficient commercial basis for publishing.
Parts of the grants are earmarked for the production of textbooks in Nynorsk, and textbooks within subject areas where the English language dominates.
It is also possible to apply for support for the publication of textbooks that have already been published, provided that the book is not registered "i sal" in Mentor before 1 April 2023.
Who can apply
All registered Norwegian publishers who wish to publish a textbook that fulfills the requirements and criteria applicable to the scheme can apply for support.
Subsidy amount
Up to NoK 500,000 in subsidies per textbook.
Total grant amount is NoK 4 500 000
