The Norwegian Cancer Society - Call for Research Project

The Norwegian Cancer Society’s aim is to work to prevent and fight cancer, and to ensure the best quality of life for patients and their families. The call provides funding for ground-breaking projects in all fields of cancer Research.

Scientific remit

The proposals should fall within five research categories: basic research, translational research, clinical research, epidemiological research, and health -and social science research

Eligibility

The project manager must:

  • Hold a doctoral degree or other equivalent qualification
  • Be associated with a Norwegian university, university college, hospital, or other institution with research as part of its activities

What is Funded

The proposal must include one or more of the following, see definitions of funding categories in Application Guidelines:

  • Researchers
  • Postdoctoral researchers
  • Technical staff
  • Associated running costs

The call does not cover indirect costs. The grant does not compensate for other costs related to leave of absence.

Budget

Projects must fall between 1 to 8 million NoK. The total amount for this call is 97 million NoK.
