Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS)

The Research Council of Norway is announcing €2,000,000 to Norwegian researchers who want to participate in a European research collaboration for the healthcare of the future.

There are two deadlines under this call:

  • Deadline for letter of intent: 23 May.
  • Deadline for full proposal: 13 June 2023. 

The European Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has pre-annouced its first joint transnational call for proposals “Healthcare of the Future”.

The call aims to provide the necessary knowledge to build the health and care of the future. By providing this knowledge, the call aims to support the development of new and innovative solutions that can address the current and future challenges facing health and care systems.

Furthermore, the call aims to support the implementation of innovative solutions on a larger scale. With research and innovation supporting the implementation of existing solutions, the call aims to accelerate the pace of change and make a positive impact on health and care systems in a more efficient way.

Available funding

Norwegian partners are funded by the Norwegian Research Council. Total amount from RCN is €2 million. Norwegian participants can apply for max €300,000 per Norwegian participant.

The total amount of funding announced under this call is approx. €20,000,000.

Eligibility:

Each proposal must involve a minimum of three and a maximum of nine regular partners, including the coordinator, from at least three different countries that are participating in the call (list available on the call page). For further criteria , see the call pre-announcement.

Timeline

May 23, 2023: Deadline for "Intent to Apply" letter submission

June 13, 2023: Deadline for proposal submission
