There are two stages in the application process:
Stage 1: Abstract application
Applicants can submit an abstract of their proposed project by 15 November.
Stage 2: Main Application
The selected abstract submissions are then invited to submit their full proposal, including a detailed work plan and budget.
Amount of funding and sponsoring
Grants are limited to 350’000 Swiss francs with a maximum project duration of three years. The funding is exclusively provided by the Geistlich-Stucki Foundation.
Who can apply?
Well-established researchers with GCP experience, who are affiliated to a university or research institution.
Study types
Research types falling within the scope of the joint grant programme are:
- Randomized Controlled Trials
- Controlled/Experimental Clinical Trials
- Cohort studies (prospective, observational, experimental)
This programme is open to phase I and phase II clinical trials, as well as proof-of-principle studies.
Study Focus
Oral maxillofacial tissue regeneration topics, including:
- Surgical techniques
- Devices
- Drugs
- Biologics
- Combinations of the above
Awarding criteria
Abstracts will be graded based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the field of oral and maxillofacial regeneration
- Originality of the hypothesis
- Clinical relevance
- Methodology
- Facilities and expertise to conduct a GCP study
- Sound and transparent budget projections
- Good scientific English language
