Maria Schröder from University of Bayreuth in Germany started as a PhD student at our department on 2 May and she will stay at our lab for four years.
Maria's background in within the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology and she has previously been working with mineralised collagen scaffolds intended for osteoporotic bone defect healing. Her PhD project will focus on investigating targeted healing of bony defects using TiO2 scaffolds and microgravity, a project which is supervised by Janne.
