NewBone

The Eurostar project NewBone has come to an end, however the development continues!

NewBone is implanted into bone in order to assist the healing and repair of damaged bone. Todays standard carries risk of disease transmission, product degradation during storage and mechanical instability. The NewBone project has been working on the development and clinical testing of a novel osteoconductive synthetic bone graft substitutes.

The project has resulted in seven patents, and professor Lyngstadaas estimates that they are only two years away from launching the product at the marked.
