Department presented at two international conferences

Latest research results from the Department of Biomaterials were presented at international conferences in USA and UK.

Several of our PhD students presented their research results at the IADR congress in Boston last week. Oscar Villa gave a talk on his findings on the effect a synthetic proline-rich peptide on wound healing, while Gaute Johnsen and Maria Pham presented their results on morphological characterisation of tooth roots and surface modification of dental implants. Professors Janne Reseland and S. Petter Lyngstadaas also participated as speakers at the ‘Lunch & Learning’ session of the conference.

In addition, PhD students Sebastian Geissler and Simon Longela presented posters about their research results on peptide characterisation and surface functionalisation of biomaterials at the Nanopeptide 2015 conference in Glasgow.
