The european research project has been named OralG, and is about developing a new medical device gel that reduces chronic inflammation and restores oral soft tissue health. The product will initially be tested on cells and artificial tissue, but a plan will also be developed for how the product can be used clinically.

The French company Regentis Pharma coordinates the project with the Department of Biomaterials and Corticalis. Professor Janne Resleand is the project manager for the Department of Biomaterials.

The Eurostars Programme is a joint programme between EUREKA and the European Commission and the first European funding and support programme to be specifically dedicated to research-performing SMEs. Eurostars stimulates them to lead international collaborative research and innovation projects by easing access to support and funding.
