Bachelor of Dental Hygiene
The department has a primary responsibility organising the curriculum and teaching plan for the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene.
The program admits approximately 30 students each year. The study programme lasts 3 years and provides students with a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene degree, qualifying them for authorization as a dental hygienist in Norway.
Bachelor of Dental Hygiene students receive teaching and clinical guidance from competent teachers and supervisors, both on campus and during external clinical placement. Public health has a central role in the study programme. The Bachelor of Dental Hygiene also draws upon expertise from the faculty's other subject areas within oral biology and clinical dentistry.
