Oral health, an important part of general health

Current project: COOP II-study aiming to describe general and oral health in an elderly population in need of short-time acute care, and thereafter perform a clinical medication review among patients using six or more medications. A collaboration between Institute of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Oslo and the Geriatric Research Group at Oslo University Hospital.

Understanding salivary gland function

Current project: study of biomarkers for Sjögren’s syndrome performing advanced biochemical and histological characterisation of saliva and salivary glands. A collaboration between Institute of Clinical Dentistry and Institute of Oral Biology at the University of Oslo, and Gade Laboratory for Pathology at the University of Bergen.
