Genetically modified microorganisms in research (GMM)

A genetically modified organism is a microorganism in which the genetic composition is altered using genetic or cellular technology. All use of genetically modified organisms in research requires approval by the Norwegian Directorate of Health. The same applies to the laboratories in which this research will take place.
